Suspects to identify in Downpatrick Road home invasion.
Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in tracking down three suspects in a Feb. 14 home invasion in which at least one suspect carried a firearm.Police said the incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. when three men forced their way into an apartment in the 3500 block of Downpatrick Road, in the Uplands area.One suspect assaulted a woman in the residence and, when another occupant tried to intervene, a second suspect pointed a firearm at both victims.Police did not report any injuries in the incident.The suspects were last seen leaving in a black or dark-coloured sedan.The first suspect is described as apparently of Middle Eastern heritage, five-feet-nine-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds (86 kg). He was wearing a black hoodie with white strings, a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, and possibly prescription glasses.The second suspect is described as a 19- to 20-year-old black man, five-feet-seven inches tall. He was wearing a green jacket, black-and-white checkered scarf covering his head and shoulders, red shirt or sweater with a blue logo on the front, black shoes with “a shiny metal on the shoelaces.”The third suspect is also described as a 19- to 20-year-old black man, six feet tall with a medium build. He had “straggly facial hair around the chin and mouth” and was wearing a green parka, grey pants, black shoes, black toque and carried a blue bag. He also appeared to be wearing white or grey gloves.
