A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.Sunday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured -17.7 C with calm winds.Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: it’s February and it’s cold outside. Shocking, I know, but annoying nonetheless considering how cold it’s been here of late. Yes, Old Man Winter is letting us have it this year and it’s not overly enjoyable I’ll say that much. Today’s daytime high is expected to hover around the -17 C mark with an overnight low of -28 C. Cool cool cool. That doesn’t even factor in the -26 wind chill during the day and -37 wind chill overnight. Awesome possum. Don’t expect much of a break, either, as it seems these temperatures will carry over at least until Monday but maybe even further into the week.Today’s forecastToday: Mainly cloudy. Clearing this afternoon. Wind up to 15 km/h. High -17 C. Wind chill near -26. Risk of frostbite. UV index 1 or low.Tonight: Clear. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low -28 C. Wind chill -26 in the evening and -37 overnight. Risk of frostbite.Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. Wind up to 15 km/h. High -17 C. Wind chill -30 in the morning and – 24 in the afternoon. Risk of frostbite. UV index 2 or low. Low -25 C.Sunrise: 7:34 a.mSunset: 6:00 p.m.
