A teen girl suffered assault injuries after being flagged down by a man who appeared to be a stranded motorist west of Edmonton, say RCMP.The youth was in her vehicle on Parkland Drive and turned south on Range Road 20 in Parkland County around 9:30 p.m. Friday when she saw a man standing in the middle of the road, a truck with its lights on parked nearby, said RCMP in a Tuesday news release.The youth stopped and got out of her vehicle when the man waved her down. But then he grabbed her by the shoulders, punching her in the face when she tried to push him away, said police.The girl fell to the ground before another vehicle turned onto the range road and the assailant fled in his truck.Stony Plain-Spruce Grove-Enoch RCMP are now looking for information from anyone who may have seen the altercation, including the person in the vehicle that drove by.The assailant is described as white with a big nose, about six feet tall and wearing a black jacket. He was driving a dark coloured long-box truck.Police urge drivers not to stop for strangers on the road.
