Edmonton police are looking for witnesses to a violent, random assault that has left a 65-year-old man fighting for his life in hospital.At around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call for assistance near 48 Street and 22 Avenue, in the neighbourhood of Pollard Meadows, police said in a news release Thursday.There, officers found a man on the ground in medical distress. Emergency medical services treated and transported the man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
