Two early morning house fires left one firefighter injured and about four residents displaced in the south-central neighbourhood of Bonnie Doon Saturday.Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) received multiple calls for the first house fire near 87 Street and 89 Avenue and arrived on scene at 3:18 a.m., said EFRS spokeswoman Claire Graff.When crews arrived, large flames were near the back of the house which had spread quickly to the attic. The fire was declared out by 5:22 a.m.At 3:41 a.m., crews arrived on scene to a second fully-involved house fire on the same block, west from the first house fire. It was declared out at 10:18 a.m.EFRS’ emergency support response team was on scene to support four people displaced from the first house fire.One firefighter was transported to hospital with non-critical injuries. No other injuries were reported.Both fires remain under investigation.
