A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.Monday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured -1.6 C with 10 km/h winds out of the northwest contributing to a -5 wind chill.Winter is coming, winter is here, winter isn’t going anywhere. OK, I promise that will be the only Game of Thrones pun (pinky promise) but in this case the reference proves useful as Edmonton has been plunged into the second coming of winter going on three days now, with at least one, maybe two, more days to come. Expect flurries on and off for both today and tomorrow before things warm up sightly Wednesday. However, the snow could return Thursday like an army of white walkers descending on the last bastion of hope left in the Seven….oh darn I’ve done it again.Today’s forecastToday: A mix of sun and cloud. 30 per cent chance of flurries early this morning. Wind becoming northwest 20 km/h this afternoon. High 7 C. UV index 6 or high.Tonight: Becoming cloudy this evening then periods of light snow. Wind northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this evening. Low -2 C. Wind chill minus 6 overnight.Tomorrow: Periods of snow ending near noon then a mix of sun and cloud. Wind becoming north 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning then light in the afternoon. High 2 C. UV index 6 or high.Sunrise: 6:04 a.mSunset: 8:59 p.m.
