In a video taken by the alleged victim a truck driver can be heard saying ‘I will grab you.’Mounties in Surrey say they are investigating a potential incident of attempted abduction, after a video the victim apparently took surfaced on social media. In the video, posted by Dylan Ackimenko on Facebook, a truck driver can be heard saying to a woman walking, “I will grab you” and “I will drive you.”Ackimenko says his friend, the woman in the video, was walking home when a semi truck pulled over and seemed to be “trying to kidnap her,” according to the post Saturday. He adds that she began filming the interaction with her phone so the driver left. However, the post says he allegedly came back, pushed her down, and stole her phone but that she had already posted the video online.Ackimenko says, in the post, he hopes people will share the video so that other woman can take extra precautions. In the video, the name “Gurjap Transport Inc.” can be seen on the side of the semi. A company by that name was contacted in Brampton, ON. A man claiming to be the owner, but who refused to give his name, said his company was now called GTI Trucking, and that he no longer owned any trucks that said “Gurjap Transport Inc.”The man said he had not been contacted by RCMP, and that he was not aware of the video. There are several job postings online for freight drivers for Gurjap Transport Inc. in Abbotsford, however a phone number associated with the address in one of the job postings was no longer in service. On Tuesday morning, Surrey RCMP would only say that officers are aware of the video and are investigating.Surrey media spokesperson Sgt. Chad Greig would not say whether a complaint had been filed or whether the truck company was part of that firstname.lastname@example.org
