The Chrysler minivan grabbed its spot in history when it was named one of the Top 10 greatest American cars of all time by Motor Trend Magazine this week.The minivan, which was introduced by Chrysler in 1984, was recognized for creating a new market segment and revolutionizing family transportation.The other Chrysler vehicle to make the list was the Jeep MB, a nameplate that continues to be one of the company’s foundational products.

Ford Motor Company products making the list were the Model T, the Model 18 (the world’s first mass-production V-8 powered vehicle), the Mustang and the Ford GT.The Chevrolet Corvette and the Oldsmobile Rocket 88 were General Motors’ representatives on the list.Rounding out the top 10 was the super luxurious 1932 Duesenberg Model SJ while the newest member of the list was the electrically powered Tesla S model.
