The City of Grande Prairie has officially opened registration for its 2019 summer camps.The Musketeers Half Day Camp for campers age 3-5 begins in Muskoseepi Park on June 3, while the other camps start July 2.“The City is proud to offer a fun selection of summer camps across our many facilities,” the city said in a statement. “A variety of camps are available for children with interests in athletics, recreation or culture. These camps are designed to provide every child with exciting games, activities, challenges and experiences.”All the city summer camps are run out of city parks, facilities, schools and gyms. The city offers half-day camps for ages 3-5, while older children up to age 12 are eligible for a variety of other camps ranging from full-day, week-long learning, adventure and sport camps.Camps are categorized under one of three themes:
Create and Discover: These camps make learning fun! Enjoy crafts, games, fieldtrips and more! Explore and Play: Designed to keep campers as active as possible, inside and outside! Water and Sport: Sports, water and more sports! Each of these camps will have a consistent swimming pool component.
