The Grande Prairie Fire Department managed to extinguish a large wildland fire in Muskoseepi Park south of 100 Avenue on Wednesday.No injuries were reported, while the cause of the fire was attributed to “human error.”“Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control battling dry conditions,” the fire department stated. “A tender and two engines with 18 firefighters were used to battle the fire. It took two hours to fully extinguish the fire.”The fire was limited to only grass and brush approximately two acres in size with no other property damage.In a statement, Capt. Chad Cormack reminded residents to call 911 should they see any sign of smoke or fire.
