According to owner Brian Jutzi, Jutzi Water Technologies’ new, 12,500 square-foot facility in the Wright Business Park is not only larger, but will also make the company’s operations more efficient. On Friday, the company hosted a grand-opening ceremony for its new home at 525 Wright Blvd., which features a larger warehouse space, four loading docks, a larger conference room, more office space, and updated and more efficient in-house chemical blending technologies. The facility is also greener, as it uses LED lighting and radial heating.“We needed more space,” said Jutzi, who owns and operates the business alongside members of his family. “We sold (the petroleum) part of the business to MacEwen (Petroleum Inc.), they offered to add on a little bit (to the old location on Lorne Avenue East) and we decided it still wasn’t enough.“We couldn’t find a location in Stratford that was big enough — it was either too big or too small — we wanted to stay in Stratford, so we decided to build, and we had a short time to do it.”According to Jutzi, exactly a year prior to the grand opening, the company hadn’t secured a building permit from the city, but within three weeks the city’s building department came through and construction could begin.

“This is an example of, start to finish, the seamlessness of our building and planning department along with economic development,” Mayor Dan Mathieson said to those gathered before the ribbon cutting. “… Jutzi has a long history in the city and so does the family, so congratulations to you.”The new, roughly $2-million building, Jutzi explained, allows Jutzi Water Technologies to continue to provide efficiencies in water consumption and personalized-service programs.“It allows us to be more efficient,” he said. “Everyone working inside the warehouse is more efficient, the office is more efficient, our drivers can unload and load themselves, which is more efficient, so there’s a lot less waste of time.”Founded by David H. Jutzi in 1953, the business has served Stratford and area for over 60 years. Jutzi Water Technologies provides water treatment, wastewater treatment, and process systems products and service programs for industrial, commercial and residential use, as well as eco-friendly water treatment service that meets green technology requirements in Ontario.A major part of Jutzi’s business comes from smaller municipal clients, including St. Marys, Tavistock, Milverton, and, to a lesser extent, Stratford.email@example.com
