The season ends April 11. The Oilers regular-season schedule will be released later this month. In other Oilers organizational news, their junior Oil Kings traded 20-year-old defenceman Will Warm to Victoria Royals for a fifth-round bantam selection in 2021. Warm only played 33 games this past season because of a knee injury, his third season with the club, but won the WHL’s humanitarian of the year Doug Wickenheiser award. He started an initiative coined Will Warms the Community, where he became involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities. After visiting Ronald McDonald House as part of a team appearance in October, Warm developed an affinity for it and arranged to have six tickets donated to RMHC children and their families for each Oil Kings home game. Regardless of the outcome of the game, he hosted a post-game meet-and-greet. He also befriended two sick kids — Carter and Peyton — in visits to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and the Stollery, and made their lives better with his good-heartedness.“We want to thank Will for all his contributions to the team, on and off the ice,” said the Oil Kings.
