Vancouver Police have issued a warning about a high-risk sex offender who has been released from custody and is living in the city at a halfway house.Cameron Eugene Ratelle, 40, was convicted of sexual assault against a person under age 18. Police caution that Ratelle poses a high risk to re-offend and is known to target young women aged 16 to 25.Ratelle is black, 5’8, and 200 pounds. He has a large build, a shaved head, and brown eyes. He is hearing impaired, but uses hearing aids and also lip-reads.Ratelle is subject to conditions of his release that prohibit possession or consumption of alcohol, non-prescription drugs, or pornography or sexually explicit material. He can not be in the presence of any female under the age of 18 without permission from a parole officer.Anyone who believes Ratelle has violated the conditions is asked to call 911.
