Two Owen Sound residents have been charged after the window of a downtown Owen Sound restaurant was damaged Wednesday.The bay window of the closed restaurant in the 700 block of 2nd Ave. E. was damaged by two projectiles at approximately 4:20 p.m.Patrol officers and the Criminal Investigations Branch of the Owen Sound Police Service determined that the projectiles that penetrated the window were glass marbles, police said in a news release.A 25-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested by police in the downtown approximately 10 minutes after the damage was done. The man had a slingshot and a bag containing glass marbles, while the woman was had methamphetamine, the release said.The man, who was bound by a probation order, faces four charges including weapons offences and mischief under $5,000. The woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine.Both are scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice next month to answer to the charges.Police thanked the public for their assistance in the investigation.
