August in Vancouver is all about seaside festivals, playing at the PNE and celebrating Vancouver Pride. There will be mural painting events every night, as well as parties, talks, an open-air movie theatre, gallery shows, a Pride event, a finale concert and much more.Harmony Arts FestivalAugust 2-11 in AmblesideThis West Vancouver festival brings together music, film, food and other areas of artistic expression. August 9-11 in KitsilanoThis sports and healthy-living festival features a number of activities taking place in a beautiful beach setting. Take in tennis, touch football, volleyball, basketball and other sports as well as the recent return of the RVYC bathtub race. There will also be a family zone, spin classes by the sea, sunset yoga on the beach, and live entertainment.Burnaby Blues and Roots FestivalAugust 10 at Deer Lake ParkThis outdoor all-day music festival (which is now in its 20th year) features a range of eclectic musicians.
