Hall of Fame Financial, an Eden Prairie-based money manager for professional athletes, announced a new partnership with retired Minnesota Vikings quarterback Fran Tarkenton and his company, Tarkenton Financial. Tarkenton will serve as a spokesperson and advocate for financial awareness, education, and insurance-based strategies which can help mitigate risk and provide guaranteed lifetime income for seniors during retirement. Tarkenton is the founder of Tarkenton Financial, a national insurance marketing organization with offices in Atlanta and Topeka, Kan.

Richfield-based electronics retailer Best Buy announced that Matt Bilunas, the company’s senior vice president of enterprise and merchandise finance, will be promoted to chief financial officer. Bilunas, 47, fills the role that was previously held by Best Buy Chief Executive Officer Corie Barry. Barry was elevated in conjunction with former CEO Hubert Joly’s transition to executive chairman of the Best Buy board of directors.
