The Sureté du Québec confirmed Sunday that James Duggan, 67, was aboard the float plane that went down near Lac Boulène, southeast of Chibougamau, which is about 500 kilometres north of Montreal.

Alcohol is suspected in a head-on collision between two vehicles early Sunday morning on Highway 50 in Gatineau.According to the Sûreté du Québec, a vehicle with a single occupant, a man in his 30s, deviated from his lane at about 3:30 a.m. and struck a vehicle occupied by four people.Rescue tools were needed to extract the two drivers, who suffered serious injuries. Initially, police feared for the life of the lone driver, but later Sunday all were reported in stable condition in hospital.A blood-alcohol sample was taken from the lone driver and an investigation is under way.Related
