A nationwide outage of the Canada Border Service’s NEXUS and primary inspection kiosks caused major delays at Vancouver International Airport. On Sunday afternoon, the Twitter account for YVR reported a country-wide outage of the digital kiosks meant to streamline international travellers through the customs process. As a result, travellers arriving at YVR on Sunday were met with long lines and crowds waiting to clear customs. The problem was sorted out after a few hours and YVR apologized to travellers who were inconvenienced.Kiosks are back up and running at YVR. Truly appreciative of everybody’s patience today as we processed arriving passengers, and thankful to the employees who worked hard to help throughout the issue. Sincere apologies to those who were inconvenienced. https://t.co/hLvT1HgyJT— Vancouver Airport (@yvrairport) July 28, 2019 firstname.lastname@example.org/stephanie_ip
