As July winds down and we enter August, Calgary’s weather looks to be mostly sunny and plenty hot.For Tuesday, Environment Canada predicts a 30 per cent chance of a thunderstorm late in the afternoon. It’s also expected to be a hot day, with a high of 28 C — and a sunny one as well, with a UV index 8, considered very high.The Weather Network, however, forecasts sunny skies and a high of 27 C for Tuesday, but a risk of a thunderstorm Wednesday. Environment Canada predicts sunny skies and no rain Wednesday.What both agencies agree on is that the week ahead looks to be a hot one, with temperature highs consistently in the mid-high 20s C, and those anticipated warm days also being primarily sunny. So be prepared for what looks like will be a rather warm, summery August long weekend.
