What’s the point of B.C. Day? To many, the civic holiday exists primarily to give British Columbians a long weekend in August. But in 1974, when it was established, the original point of the holiday was to honour B.C.’s pioneers and its history.Let us help you get that part out of the way. Take a break from planning your trip to the cabin to tackle our 30-question B.C. Day quiz, which will remind you of this province’s history, and test your knowledge of the place, quizzing you on everything from B.C.’s geography to its greatest innovations to its most famous people. You may even learn something. No pressure, but if you get more than 10 questions wrong, you have to move to Alberta, and if you get every question correct, you will be installed as the new CEO of ICBC, whether you like it or not.
