Ontario Provincial Police officers from the Leeds detachment stopped and arrested a 29-year-old man on criminal and Highway Traffic Act charges Saturday night after a speeding westbound vehicle on Highway 401 had collided with multiple vehicles.OPP said in a news release on Sunday that an additional collision occurred before officers were able to safely bring the suspect vehicle to a stop. There were minor injuries in that collision requiring hospital treatment, police said.George Wabigwan of Colborne is charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, resisting arrest and driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.Wabigwan was held in custody pending a bail hearing Monday at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville.Police said anyone with information regarding the investigation should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
