The appeal hearing dates for a local group fighting the location of Windsor’s Mega-Hospital have been scheduled. On Oct. 8, 9 and 10, members of the Citizens for an Accountable Mega Hospital Planning Process (CAMPP) will gather in front of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal in Windsor’s City Hall council chambers at 10 a.m. to appeal the location of the new hospital. The tribunal informed CAMPP and Windsor Regional Hospital of the appeal hearing dates on Friday.CAMPP has been waiting for the tribunal to schedule the dates since receiving confirmation of a full oral hearing in April. The group has vocalized their disapproval of the planned location for the city’s new acute care hospital at County Road 42, claiming that it will remove health care from the city centre and make it difficult for Windsor’s most vulnerable patients to access care, among other concerns. On the CAMPP website, the group states that “this destructive scheme will affect the region’s health, economic and environmental well-being for generations to come.”email@example.com
