Re: This fall, Dilkens ‘should go to war,’ Gord Henderson, Aug. 3, 2019In the 2018 municipal election, Drew Dilkens was the first choice for mayor of just one in five (20.7%) registered voters. For Henderson to recommend that he “wage war” on the residents he was elected to lead by diminishing the role of the ward councillors — many of whom won their seats with significantly more voter enthusiasm — is as disturbing as it is absurd. Democratic decision making can be hard, but it’s also a time-proven way to ensure the community’s best interests are served.Philippa von Ziegenweidt, WindsorShare Your ViewsSend letters to the editor to email@example.com.
